Hi, after some help / advice please.

Can anyone recommend a good place (Hotel / B&B)to stay overnight in June about an hour to two hours up the raod from Calais heading towards Antwerp? There may be a group of 4-5 cars traveling together

We've two options leave the Uk early in the morning with a 400 mile drive to Germany, or leave the evening before, and stay somewhere in Belgium.

Being not a native Flemish I would say in a little over 2 hours you will get to Antwerp if traffic is not too slow. In about 1,5 hour you'll make it up to Gent. Both mayor cities with plenty of opportunities to sleep.

What is it you are looking for: a hotel in a city centre or alongside the motorway?

Hi Colin, maybe you can try the Biznis Hotel - Lokeren .... it's about 110 miles from Calais (2 driving hours) and located between Ghent and Antwerp...

Yes, about two hours driving must bring you to Antwerp.
I could recommend some smaller hotels in the centre, buit you will need to use public car park buildings.
Waht about the City Inn: has its own parking, easy access and near-ish the centre of Antwerp.

Let me know when, and I'll show you some places in Antwerp.

All we need to do now is decide whether to leave early in the morning and do the drive in one stint, or leave the night the evening before and stay where you have suggested.
